Something needs to change, you’re just not quite sure what it is yet.

does any of this sound familiar?

You're tired of being pulled back into the past when you’re just trying to live your life. You want to stop reliving and reacting to what happened, and start living in the here and now.

You find yourself stuck in the same patterns — people pleasing, perfectionism, saying yes when you mean no — and no matter how hard you try nothing seems to change.

You spend more time in your head than in your life, wrapped up in worry, overthinking, or wondering what others think of you. You just want to feel grounded and safe in your life.

Hi, I’m Cailin.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (NY license #092803) based in Highland, NY and offering telehealth services across New York State.

Maybe you're exhausted from holding everything together, or feel like no matter how hard you try, something keeps getting in the way. Maybe you're carrying more than you let on, and you're ready for that to change. I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges — trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship struggles, and the patterns that keep showing up no matter how hard you try to move past them.

I offer individual therapy both in person and online using evidence-based approaches including EMDR, DBT, and CBT, personalized to your goals and needs.

If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, I’d love to connect. Click below to schedule a free consultation through my secure, online platform.

Healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about coming home to yourself.

here’s how we get there:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is an evidence-based treatment for trauma and PTSD with over nearly 40 years of research behind it. Instead of talking through the past in detail, EMDR works by pairing painful memories with bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, audio tones) which works with your brain's natural healing process to reduce the emotional intensity of difficult memories. Memories that once felt overwhelming become easier to hold, and most clients notice significant relief within 6 to 12 sessions.

We don't need an exact memory or story to work with. What we need is the feeling — where you notice it in your body, how intense it is, and what belief about yourself tends to come with it. EMDR works with the nervous system. Your body holds the experience even when your mind doesn't have the full picture.

I completed my EMDR basic training with an EMDRIA (EMDR International Association) approved trainer. Click here to learn more about EMDR and EMDRIA.

  • The Flash technique is similar to EMDR in that we also use bilateral stimulation to reduce the emotional intensity of a memory. With Flash, you’ll focus on a neutral or positive event while periodically, briefly noticing the upsetting memory. It can be used on its own or as a way to ease into the full EMDR protocol, making it a helpful option for memories that feel too overwhelming to approach head-on.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy gives you practical, concrete skills for managing overwhelming emotions, navigating relationships, and staying grounded when life feels like too much. If you’re struggling with something, there’s a DBT skill that can help.

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy helps you learn to challenge unhelpful ways of thinking that negatively impact how you feel and behave. Just because you have a thought doesn’t make it true. I use CBT techniques to help you develop a healthy perspective on how you think.

Meet Juniper, your bonus therapist

Juni is my four legged, therapeutic partner. Juni has completed extensive training and obedience work in order to join me at work.

Juni can join us at the office, and she is very skilled at providing emotional support in the form of couch snuggles and tail wags.
